Ivana at the Forbes Conference “Lepsi Cesko” 2022

Yesterday, Ivana, along with the Minister of Education, Vladimír Balas, and the Board Vice-Chair of The Ostrava International School, Nikola Gray Jirousek, participated in a panel discussion on education in the Czech Republic at the Forbes Better Czech Republic 2022 conference. This conference has been bringing together the country’s business, political, and academic elite for several years, seeking answers and solutions to current questions and issues.

Ivana spoke in the final panel discussion, “Transformation of the World and Our Children.” She emphasized the importance of communicating with children about current societal issues and the need to deal with fear as a natural emotion. She also discussed W4W’s activities during the extraordinary closure of schools when, in collaboration with our partners, W4W provided the necessary technology for socially disadvantaged children to participate in distance learning. In addition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, W4W contributed to ensuring that socially disadvantaged children could attend school cafeterias for meals.
