European Expert Seminar on “Creating Effective Policies to Support Single Parents”

Ivana Tykac, the founder and director of WOMEN FOR WOMEN, o.p.s., inaugurated the European expert seminar on “Creating Effective Policies to Support Single Parents” on October 4th. This seminar was co-organized by W4W and the international organization COFACE Families Europe.

Various countries presented their practices, projects, and policies aimed at supporting single parents. The main topics discussed included housing, childcare, the stigma surrounding single parents, their position in the job market, financial situations, as well as issues related to mental health and energy poverty.

Different segments of the full-day seminar were led by experts from various European countries, with W4W representatives delivering a presentation in the section titled “Housing for Social and Economic Integration.” You can view photos from the event below.
